Llano de la Luz Writing Retreat is set in the South of Spain in an idyllic area of the Andalucian mountainside, ideal for retreating and writing.
The retreat provides affordable accommodation for writers who simply want a peaceful, supportive environment to either start or complete a writing project.
The centre is run by Jacqueline, a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College. She has been published in Granta’s New Writing and MsLexia and is currently working on her first novel.
The retreat is nestled on the edge of a beautiful valley of almond and olive trees, just outside the Moorish village of Comares. Comares is one of the highest white villages in Andalucia and retains its original Moorish features. The retreat is outside the village, about 35 minutes´ walking distance. The retreat´s peaceful setting is ideal for writers. The nearest airport is Malaga, an hour´s drive away.
The retreat is available for short and long term room rentals.
